Germany helps former opium farmers in northern Laos (Asia News Network)

The German government is providing US$2.3 million in development assistance to enable more former opium poppy farmers to continue to grow other crops and to improve the living conditions of former opium addicts in Oudomxay province, the northern part of Laos.
